ILR SHAFTEBURY WITH BLANDFORD FORUM  (Vale FM etc)

Coverage Map

The map above shows the predicted coverage for the small scale ILR station for Shaftesbury and Blandford
Forum (Vale FM etc).  The station uses two transmitters; one near Long Cross in Shaftesbury (site height 218m asl,
aerial height 35 m agl) with 120 Watts, mixed polarisation, on 97.4 MHz.  The second transmitter is located on the
North Dorset Council Offices in Blandford Forum and has a power of 100 Watts, vertically polarised, on 96.6 MHz.
The Blandford transmitter would appear to have much reduced coverage compared to Shaftesbury and this may be
explained by the fact that the site hight is lower at  62m asl with a lower aerial height of 15m agl.
