"These masts are near to the Iceland TV and radio building, but I have no information at all on the technical aspects; much may be for mobile phone applications etc. ( as can be seen in the last of these images) and I am not sure that any is for broadcasting.    However, they looked rather picturesque -especially the one with the blue-coloured discs - which might be just decorative?"

[The tower in the third photograph below does appear to have two mixed polarised vhf/fm radio aerials mounted at the top right hand side -typical of some broadcast radio stations. ]

"I was told that in Reykjavik, most people use satellite or cable for their TV, although this seemed in conflict with the many TV reception yagi antennas on building roofs which I saw."
