THE
BAND III (VHF TELEVISION) AERIAL SYSTEMS

left and these are used to broadcast some UHF TV Channels |

The collection of photographs below shows the old aerials, originally installed in 1984, back on the ground. It can be seen that the diamond paddles are fitted so as to be parallel with the ground plane – are they perhaps used to widen the bandwidth? The last shot shows that at least one small part of Les Cars has found a loving home, sadly the rest was carted off to a metal scrap yard.  |
